News update from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
Micro-Finance Institutions will report using the GRI Guidelines

Six leading microfinance banks in developing countries are developing their first sustainability reports, in order to disclose the impact of their activities in the social and environmental field in an integrated fashion with their financial information.
With the help of Triodos Bank and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), these banks will report according to the GRI Guidelines, enabling them to emphasise the role they play in global poverty alleviation, and to show their efforts regarding environmental issues and good governance.

Name change: Financial Markets Working Group becomes the Investors Consultation

To eliminate confusion with the work being done on the financial services sector supplement, the name of the Financial Markets Working Group has been changed to ‘Investors Consultation Group’ ( ICG ).
