AccountAbility is pleased to announce the release of the latest AA1000 Assurance Standard Practitioners Note. This Practitioners Note was produced from a consultation with representatives from companies, assurance providers, non-governmental organisations, and government in Johannesburg, South Africa.
AccountAbility has been running a series of consultations with the outcome being the production of a series of Practitioners Notes to assist in the practical development of the AA1000 Assurance Standard both for and by companies and assurance providers. Consultations involve current and/or prospective users of the AA1000 Assurance Standard.
AA1000 Assurance Standard Practitioners Notes share common experiences and understanding, rather than guidance, about the role of sustainability assurance and the AA1000 Assurance Standard in particular. Separately, AccountAbility is developing AA1000 Assurance Standard Guidance Notes that will address particular technical aspects of the standard, and also provide guidance related to different user groups.
